Radiator Cover Benches
Made in USA
The potential for extreme coziness is incredibly tempting.

A question we get asked all the time is "Can I use the radiator cover as a bench?" While we can't control what you do with our covers, we have a few suggestions for you to get the safest and best outcome.

1. Our covers are sturdy and should be able to support the weight of an average adult. Every cover we make is custom made and it's possible we've never made, assembled or tested one of the exact dimensions you are ordering. That being said, every cover we've ever assembled has definitely felt sturdy and hearty. The smaller and narrower the cover, the more rigid it will be.

2. Remember that a radiator cover is an open box with no back. If you're planning on using the cover as a bench, it must be securely attached to the wall. We recommend constructing a French cleat fastened through the wall into studs (not with drywall or plaster wall plugs) or another super sturdy means of supporting the maximum anticipated weight and also to clinch the cover against the wall to prevent it from moving, sliding or tipping over. This should be manageable for any experienced person with some basic handy skills.

3. We recommend making or getting a custom cushion made!
